I’ve been pretty verbose about hip hop recently, so here are some quick and easy mashups to liven up your weekend.

8 Corporation – Every Little Gambino She Does is Childish (Childish Gambino, Edward Sharpe, Bon Iver, The Police, Jonsi,Mumford and Sons)

Don’t usually feel the mega mashups, but this one meshes so many great songs by all your kinda indie friend’s favorite bands under Childish’s ferocious flow that I can’t help but bob my head.

Scott Melker – Angels Roulette (The xx, Rihanna)

A really understated mashup, adding just a bit of sonic elements from Rihanna’s roulette to the beautiful Angels.

Bon Iver – Towers (Slow Hands Cover)

Slow Hands is a DJ from New York who specializes in slowed down, sexed up house music. He has a really unique feel, and he applies it to Bon Iver’s heartwrenching Towers in this recent cover. He also made this one an on-the-house download. Good summer listening.

Monday Mashup – Bon Iver/BA$$Y/Kavinsky/Phoenix/Carlos Serrano/Tiesto/The Naked and The Famous

I’ve been listening to a lot of hip hop lately and haven’t shared hardly any remixes lately. Here is my apology.

Bon Iver – Holocene (BA$SY remix)

This is nicely subtle. Despite his name suggesting otherwise, BA$SY does a nice job retaining the frailty of the original while adding in some nice drums and echos and other sound chops.

Phoenix vs. Kavinsky – Night Mania (Carlos Serrano Mix).mp3

This is a true to the book mashup. Vocals from Phoenix’ Listzomania over the incredible instrumentals of Kavinsky’s Nightcall. It works flawlessly.

The Naked and The Famous – Youngblood (Tiesto & Hardwell remix)

Some classic house from Tiesto and Hardwell reinvents the summer jam from The Naked and The Famous. I wish I could still snowboard to this.
